Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.

Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
Subject contributions
We may ask you for financial contributions to cover the costs of materials used by your child in elective subjects that go beyond the minimum requirements of the curriculum. Individual arrangements can be made confidentially if you cannot pay these costs.

General schools contributions
General school contributions are voluntary contributions. They are extremely important to the effective running of the teaching and learning programs that we provide at Ashfield Boys' High School. The school uses these contributions to purchase additional library books, teaching resources, computer software and hardware to improve the education our students receive. If any family is experiencing difficulty in paying the general school contribution, please contact the school to discuss options.
Subject materials contributions
Subject materials contributions are used to buy materials used by students in practical classes. These include wood, electronics, paint, food paper and clay. Materials that are used and consumed in elective classes should be paid for (or provided) by the student, parent or caregiver. If any family is experiencing difficulty in paying for the subject materials, please contact the school's Student Assistance Scheme. All family contact with respect to school contributions will be treated confidentially.
